How to Fix Discord Nitro Invalid Billing Address Issue?

So, ensure that your Windows is up to date and that you’re not using any VPN or proxy services.
Fix 1: Remove and re-enter your card.
- Navigate to Subscriptions > Cancel nitro subscription.
- Move to the Settings menu again after canceling the nitro subscription.
- Go to the Billing tab > Click on add a payment method.
- Select your preferred payment getaway.
- Provide the card information carefully and precisely as you provided at your bank.
Fix 2: Re-install Discord
If the first method didn’t fix the “invalid payment address” problem, you can try reinstalling Discord. This will reset any settings causing issues.

- Google Pay allows you to link PayPal or your credit/debit card as the payment method.
In my case:
- I used the Discord Android app to pay for Nitro using Google Pay.
- Google Pay is set up to use PayPal as its primary payment method.
- This worked because the desktop client only offers PayPal or card as payment methods, and their address verification method didn’t seem to work well.
I suspect that Discord’s verification system doesn’t check anything when Google Pay is involved because Google handles the transaction.
I faced this issue using PayPal just today. My billing address worked fine with my credit/debit cards and other online stores in the past that required it. So, I contacted support and mentioned PayPal. Here’s their response:
“Sorry to hear you’re having trouble adding a new payment method!
Could you please:
Double-check that all details of the billing address are correct.
Contact your payment provider to check if there might be an issue from their end.
If the issue persists, we can’t offer an immediate solution with this specific payment method. Please try a different payment method.

I verified that the address stored with PayPal was correct and tried using a different payment method (a Visa debit card from a credit union). I manually entered my billing address to bypass any errors generated by PayPal, but I still got the same “Billing address invalid” error.
So it seems the issue lies with Discord. I highly doubt that Visa, a credit union insured by the NCUA, numerous online stores, and various service providers I’ve used for over 18+ years have all gotten my billing address wrong.
